Come and join us in Thailand! We’ve designed a yoga holiday where you get to do lots of yoga, get healthy, and enjoy this beautiful little paradise island all in one. Located on Koh Ngai Island Thailand, enjoy a wake-up morning yoga class and a relaxed evening class daily. In between kick back and enjoy the many attractions the island has to offer.

Yoga and activities:
Start the day with a morning yoga class and enjoy sunset gentle stretching right on the beach. In between relax, hang out on the beach or snorkel and dive some of Asia’s best coral reefs. Rent a kayak and circle the island from the sea. Hike in the interior and experience the flora and fauna it has to offer. Take a trip to the mainland and wander round the Thai markets in the town of Trang.

Hire a small boat to explore the surrounding islands and find your own private beaches. A trip to the world famous Emerald cave is not to be missed. Visit the little known Koh Kradan and Koh Rok, beautiful islands populated with fishermen and their families and snorkel the pristine reefs of Koh Ma and Koh Cheuk. There’s also the world famous food, the relaxing massages and Thailand’s finest fire performers, you will never want to leave.

Itinerary:
The week starts with evening yoga class on the Saturday you arrive. It concludes with the morning yoga class the following Saturday. Start the day with early morning meditation, a dynamic yoga class and then follow this with a healthy breakfast. Then spend the day hanging out on the beach, by the pool or get involved with some of the activities.

Khao Yai National Park has 350 bird species, the park offers some of Thailand’s best birdwatching opportunities. Birds of note include four species of hornbills, the red-headed trogon, sultan tit, coral-billed ground cuckoo, crested-serpent eagle to mention just a few. Also home to a range of other wildlife, you will most likely see mammals such as deer, monkeys and maybe elephant on your stay in the park.

Itinerary:
Day 1:
Depart your Bangkok hotel at 0600 for the 2-hours transfer by private vehicle to Khao Yai National Park. Breakfast en route before heading out to Khao Khieo mountain, an area dominated by hill evergreen forest above1,000 m. After lunch, set out on a roadside birding tour in the area of the headquarters and take a short easy walk through the grassland habitat of Nong Phak Chi for birding and on the lookout for some of the other wildlife that inhabits the park.

Possible sightings include Wild Dog, Sambar Deer, Stock billed-Kingfisher, Bright-capped Cisticola, Hill Myna and Wreathed Hornbill. After dinner, we head out on a nighttime spotlighting trip on the look out for deer, civet, porcupine, slow loris and possibly elephant. Overnight: Juldis Resort & Spa, (3 star) Superior room.

Day 2: Spend the morning birding in some of Khao Yai’s best evergreen forest. Look out for Red-headed Trogon, Slaty-backed Forktail, Blue Pitta, Greater Flameback, Dusky Broadbill, Banded Broadbill, Blue-winged Leafbird, Green Magpie, White-crested Laughingthrush and many more. Depart the park at approximately 1600 for the transfer back to Bangkok. Arrive back at your hotel at approximately 1900.

Highlights:
Fly to the Asian metropolis - Bangkok. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the city with a guided tour, which includes the Royal palace and temples. With ample free time to soak up the atmosphere of the street markets while staying at a three star hotel in the heart of the Banglamphu district.

Leaving Bangkok we travel North West to the infamous death railway and the bridge over the river Kwai. Passing plantations of sugar cane and tapioca the landscape transforms to jungles and a backdrop of limestone mountains. After visiting the bridge over the river Kwai we board a train for an unforgettable journey along the most spectacular section of the death railway towards Burma. At the end of the line we ride on the back of a pick up truck to the Ko Soi National park and to the raft accommodation on the river Kwai, which will be our base for exploring the area over the next 5 days. The accommodation is run by a Thai family who live on the rafts and with all members of the family involved, from children to adults, you will be truly participating in rural Thai family life. Wildlife abounds in the national park and you are sure to see some of those animals you’ve seen in the movies. We will ride elephants, visit a tiger rescue centre, try Buddhist meditation, cook a Thai meal, have a dip in the thermal jungle springs, swim, and raft down the river Kwai.
